About Teacher's Pet:
Teacher's Pet is a unique and innovative program that pairs at-risk youth with hard-to-adopt shelter dogs for a 10-week, twice a week workshop in basic obedience.
How We Are Involved:
K9 Stray Rescue League provides dogs for several of the Teacher's Pet Programs. We select dogs from our shelter with good temperaments that are overlooked due to lack of obedience and training. The kids give these overlooked dogs the edge they need to get noticed and adopted to loving homes.
