We are very pleased to present the official website of The Humane Society of Saline County, Arkansas! Our biggest goal for this site is to make it easier for you to see some of the wonderful animals we have available for adoption. Also, we need assistance to continue our efforts, so we've outlined some ways you can help. Our humane society has been in existence since 1975. You can read about our beginning and our mission statement here. We have many dogs and cats who need good homes. You can click here to see available dogs and here to see some of our cats. If you see a pet you are interested in adopting, please call the shelter at 501-557-5518 to see if he or she is still available. Ever wondered what you could do to help us help the animals? You can visit our Help Us page to find out. There you'll find information on how to send in a donation, how you can volunteer your time, or details on some much-needed items to donate to the shelter. Our Events page tells of upcoming events and fundraisers. The Humane Society is hosting. New events are scheduled regularly, so please visit it often. Since our non-profit group is run entirely by donations and fundraisers, we appreciate every dollar! But sometimes groups and organizations really go out of their way to help us, so we put together our Special Thanks page to let them know how much we are thankful for their efforts. There is also a Links page that you may find helpful. It contains links to sites about pets with general, health and training information, and even some links just for kids. Also we've included links to some local businesses and organizations you may find useful.
