Below are some of HOPE's rescued cats who are waiting for their "forever homes" and families who will give them the love they so deserve.  All of our cats have been given their original vaccinations, are litter-trained, and are neutered or spayed, unless otherwise noted.  A $55 adoption fee is required for each animal, and pre-adoption home checks, adoption applications, and adoption contracts are necessary for each cat.  If you fall in love with one of our cats but are unable to take him or her into your home, please consider sponsorship.  Please click on the thumbnails to view larger pictures.

Bio:
"I've had a rough year, having been moved from home to home without any real stability.  My former owners, with whom I lived for 5 years, gave me up because I shed--isn't that so sad?  Because of the various places I've moved around to, I'm a little shy and anxious, and I'll need some special loving and patience from my forever family.  At heart, I'm a friendly girl.  Can you be the one to offer me a lifetime of love?  Please call 985-446-3048."

Name:  Foxy Brown
Age:
6 months
Gender/Breed:
female domestic short-haired calico
Bio:
My story has a happy ending after a harrowing experience.  A few Nicholls students on their way across campus heard me screaming from inside a drain during a rain storm, hungry and terrified.  It was obvious that I couldn't get out by myself, so a brave guy opened the drain himself, and my rescuers came in to save me!  Now I'm adjusting to the kind of life in which all of my needs are met, and I'm anxious to meet the family who will appreciate all I have to offer.  Although I'm a little skittish at first, I warm up eventually and love to be petted.  Can't wait to hold me in your arms?  Please call 985-447-4523 between the hours of 1:00pm and 8:00pm or fill out an adoption application and email it to hopeforanimals at bellsouth dot net."

"My owners were leaving town and chose to only take one of their cats with them--I was not chosen to go.  When I was dropped off at the animal shelter, I still had my pretty blue collar with the little bell on it and was terrified of where I had been taken.  The director, through her loving kindness, calmed me down, and I was able to show her my loving and trusting nature.  I've blossomed into a frisky guy, full of affection.  I would be a wonderful inside pet with or without children, dogs, and other cats.  Do you have room in your heart and home for me?  Please call 985-446-0111."

"My mommy gave birth to me and my siblings behind a local business, and the owner was compassionate enough to find someone who would bottle-feed us, since we were abandoned when we were only a few days old.  Since then, my foster mom has spoiled me rotten, so I really need lots of attention.  I love to play games, run around, and explore.  Since I'm so young, I'm not yet neutered, although my date will be here before I know it.  I'd love to be adopted with one of my littermates, since we've always been together.  Do you need a fun kitten to add to your family?  Please call 832-969-8881, or fill out an adoption application and email it to dorialyssa at yahoo dot com."
