NOTICE!
Sweet Yoda went to the Rainbow
Bridge on Sunday, April 19, 2008. She is sadly missed by her
adopted canine brothers and sisters Ginger, Cocoa, Boy Dog, Sasha, Momma
Dog, and Missy. She is also deeply missed by her humans, momma
Ellen, daddy Rick, sister Leslie, and brother Brandon. NOTICE! A local family will be holding a
yard sale in July to fund the surgery and physical therapy needed for
their precious dog, who suffered a spinal cord injury. They are in
need of donations to make the yard sale as successful as possible.
Please look around your home for any items you'd be willing to part with
and donate for their fundraiser. If you have any donations, please
call Wendy at 985-226-3770, or email bergeronbraves at yahoo dot com.
Thank you. Three 12-week-old, precious kittens rescued from a flooding ditch during the 5/21/08 storm need loving homes! The siblings were huddled together, neck-deep in rain water, on the verge of drowning when their rescuer intervened and saved their lives. The orange tabby is male, and the two white kittens with gray tabby markings are female. All have been vet-checked and given their first set of vaccinations. (Please note that these are not HOPE kittens.) For more information, or to express your interest, please call 985-859-7261, or email Emily at emilypizz at aol dot com.
ATTENTION CARTRIDGE COLLECTORS! We need your help! We're
getting a LOT of laser printer cartridges (large cartridges) that have
been refilled, and we cannot use them.
Disposal is becoming a problem. HOPE gets the most money for
Brothers, Canon, Hewlett Packard (HP), and Lexmark brands. Please
call Vicki at 985-447-3821 if you have any questions. Thank you
for your continuing support of this program. NOTICE!
URGENT! We're in need of a kennel
volunteer on Saturdays from approximately 11:00am to 1:00pm. Work
includes cleaning, watering, feeding, and giving affection to homeless
dogs. If you are willing to lend a hand, please call 985-447-9454.
Thank you in advance.
Don't be a "throw-away" pet owner! Consider the sacrifices before adopting! "Free to good home" too often means a death sentence. Are you a New Orleans resident still looking for your beloved four-legged friend after Hurricane Katrina? Please check out the inventory pictures taken from the Lamar Dixon site, which took in thousands of animals from the New Orleans area. NOTICE Don't throw your ink jet and laser printer cartridges away! HOPE can use them to make "Cash for Critters"! Old cell phones are also now being accepted! (Note: Epson printer cartridges are not accepted.) For more information, or to have yours picked up, please call 985-447-3103.
