Groom Room Rental
You may rent the GHS groom room to bathe your dog. All dogs must have a current CBJ license. We supply grooming tools, shampoo, towels, a tub with a walk up ramp, a walk in dryer and even rain gear. The cost is $14.00 per half-hour. Some walk in times are available however, we encourage you to make an appointment in advance. We also ask that you clean the room after each use in preparation for the next user. Our staff thoroughly disinfects the room and supplies each morning.

Groomer Appointments
GHS now has a groomer. Please call 789-0260 to make an appointment or to discuss fees. All dogs must have a current CBJ license.

Dog Boarding
The Gastineau Humane Society provides boarding services for dogs. The cost of boarding includes the basic necessities of food, water, clean bedding, and clean-up, as well as walks, and treats. Office staff can answer any questions you may have. We want you to feel comfortable leaving your pet with us while you are away.

Boarding Requirements
Boarding reservations must be made in advance. All dogs boarding at GHS must have a current CBJ license and be up to date on their vaccinations. All dogs without licenses must be licensed before boarding. A non-refundable deposit may be required to hold your space, especially during the holidays.

You may drop your dog off for boarding anytime during our open business hours. Check out time is by 1:00 PM. If your pet is picked up after 1:00 PM you may be charged an additional day of boarding.

Rates

We no longer board dogs that are unaltered or in season.

If you would like your dog to have a bath before going home, please inform the staff when dropping your dog off. Fees can be discussed at that time.

Ask the front office staff about putting more than one animal in a kennel. The staff will discuss with you whether it will be appropriate due to size or temperament of the animals.

Required Vaccinations
All dogs are required to have current vaccinations. Your veterinarian will provide you with proof of vaccination form.

Licensing
All dogs boarding at GHS must have a current CBJ license.

Personal Items
We ask that you not bring in personal items such as bedding or toys but if you choose to do so they must have a permanent identification on them. Please bring things that are easily washable, as we will launder them during your pet's stay.

Special Diet? / Medications?
No problem! If your pet is on a special diet or has a specific food that you prefer we use, we will follow your feeding instructions. If a special diet is required, please provide the food with feeding instructions when you bring your pet in for boarding.

• The shelter does provide two meals per day.
• If your dog is on medication, you must provide the medication along with instructions. There is an additional charge of $3 per day for giving medications.

Veterinary Care
Our staff may need to seek veterinary care for your dog during its stay with us. You will be responsible for any veterinary bills that we incur.
